NMO is oftentimes an invisible illness. At times you wouldn't know from just looking at us that there is anything wrong at all. Here is a list of just SOME of the symptoms of NMO that we experience through the course of our illnesses.
• Pain in the eyes
• Loss of vision
•Weakness, numbness, and tingling in the arms and legs
• Paralysis of the arms and legs
• Bladder dysfunction
• Bowel dysfunction
• Uncontrollable vomiting
• Uncontrollable hiccups
• Altered sensations (heat/cold)
• Issues with brainstem due to lesions which affect autonomic functions (heart rate, sleep, breathing)
These are just the most common but there may be other symptoms individuals with NMO experience!
