During pregnancy

Post by Heatherhall » Mon Sep 04, 2017 3:01 pm

Most of symptoms I had were just normal pregnancy symptoms. I had really bad headaches the first trimester, if I didn't take excedrine it would turn into a migraine. I got my doctors approval on being able to take excedrine. I had a lot of ligament pain but was told that was normal with second pregnancies. My energy level was really low the first trimester, which is normal. My knees would ache as I gained weight. Most of my Nmo symptoms got better with pregnancy. The last trimester my feet would feel like they were on fire, which I usually take medicine for the overactive nerves. Seeing as I couldn't take my normal medicine, I just kept the fan on and kept my feet out of the blankets. Other than that the rest of my symptoms were just normal pregnancy symptoms. I was so thankful that my NMO didn't act up during my pregnancy. I had to see a fetal medicine specialist to over see my pregnancy and run extra screening on my ultrasounds. I had a sonogram every 4 weeks through my pregnancy. The specialist told me my pregnancy was very textbook and boring, which is a great thing.
