IVIg (Intravenous Immunoglobulins)

Post by HSowalla » Tue Sep 05, 2017 2:25 pm

IVIg: intravenous immunoglobulins (IVIg) are pooled antibodies that can act to suppress an immune response. IVIg is used in many inflammatory neurology diseases but are not as effective for relapses within the brain, spinal cord and optic nerve. Because of the good safety profile, IVIg is often used in situations where PLEX is not available.
